It can be scary, sometimes, visiting an area for the first time.
Advertising, websites, and pictures often do not tell the whole story.
You'd hate to arrive at your "luxurious gulfview condominium"
only to find that the "gulfview" is a sliver of ocean a mile
away, and the only thing luxurious is the price you're paying. More
common, though, is the high rise condominium experience: navigate
children, beach chairs, toys and a cooler down twenty floors and across
what seems to be miles of boardwalk to the beach. Repeat several times a
day.
At Gulf Winds East: pull your car right up to your unit; unlock the
door; unload your luggage and you're home. Our complex is small and
welcoming. The beach is only a few steps away. Restaurants, shops and
attractions are only a short drive away. (See our links page for more
information.) Once you visit us, you'll understand why
"our" Gulf Winds East families return to us year after
year!
Driving Directions
If you are arriving from the West, either come through Destin on Hwy 98
or through Niceville on Hwy 20 (John Sims Parkway). From Destin:
Take a right turn on Hutchinson Street (SR 293), which is also the Mid
Bay Bridge intersection. Hutchinson will dead end at Scenic Gulf Drive
(also known as Old or Scenic 98). Take a left. Gulf Winds East is
approximately 2 miles down on the left. From Niceville: take a
right turn off Hwy 20 onto White Point Road (SR 293). Go across the Mid
Bay Bridge (TOLL). At the second traffic light is the intersection of
Hwy 98/Emerald Coast Parkway and Hutchinson Street. Go straight through
the intersection. The road will dead end at Scenic Gulf Drive
(Old/Scenic 98). Take a left. Gulf Winds East is approximately 2 miles
down on the left, just across the Walton County Line
If you arriving from the East, go through Sandestin on Hwy 98. Just
before the Silver Sands Factory Stores, take a left onto Scenic Gulf
Drive (also known as Old or Scenic 98). Gulf Winds East is approximately
2 miles down on the right.
